Dog Safety VR
Dog attacks are a very real risk to postal workers in the UK with over 2,500 dog bites every year, and I partnered with Royal Mail to conceive of and direct a VR experience to bring the issue to life.
Participants stepped into the shoes of a rookie on their first day, making decisions with real consequences. The experience was rolled out to postal workers across the country to facilitate dialogue and inspire practical, safe behaviours.
Dog Safety VR was picked up nationally by the Guardian and acknowledged as contributing to reduced dog attacks.
Rule The Streets, an immersive experience for fundraisers.
Rule the Streets VR
Street fundraising in a public space is highly regulated and staff, often students working seasonally, require a quick and engaging way to connect with the rules before they begin.
This innovative project placed fundraisers in a real-world setting, inviting them to interact with people and discover the rules in context. I directed scriptiwriting, presenting, 360° video, interactions, visual style and UI, motion graphics, and foley, to create a compelling experiences that fundraisers rated as memorable and effective.

Celebrate good times,
come on!
I’m proud of the innovations I’ve helped bring to life and love to share insights with a global community. I’ve spoken at conferences in Las Vegas, London, Barcelona, and Brussels, and in 2017 was invited to speak on a panel as an early adopter of VR at Realities 360 in San Jose. Many of the awards won by Sponge, a company I co-founded in 2004 (acquired 2019), have been as a result of my direction, and this was recognised with an industry award for Learning Technologies Designer of the Year (2016), and Design Professional of the Year (2017). In 2019, Sponge was awarded Elearning Company of the Year.
